Coastal Steward; Together We Make a Difference

For 23 years, the Coastal Steward group has been organizing beach cleanups. This Long Island based non-profit environmental restoration organization has also been doing shellfish restoration for 13 years. Their Adopt-A-Beach and Shellfish Restoration programs have resulted in the removal of over 300 tons of garbage from local beaches, and the addition of 255,000 disease resistant adult oysters into Port Jefferson and Mt. Sinai Harbors.
