When October arrives in Oyster Bay, it’s time to get ready for the Oyster Festival.  Billed as the east coast’s largest waterfront festival, this year’s festival — the 32nd annual one— offers plenty of fun things to do on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18.

Activities include fun rides, amusements, and a midway with sideshow games and fun prizes. In addition there are pirate shows, toe-tapping performances by bands, offerings from artisans, and a food court where you can feast on fried oysters and other tasty foods. Save some room if you plan on entering the oyster eating and shucking contest.

But that’s not all — festival goers get to view the world’s largest rubber duck bobbing along in Oyster Bay Harbor!
