Not much beats spending the dog days of summer in the stands of Orioles Park, at Camden Yards, catching your favorite team. The only thing that makes a day at the ballpark better is taking your boat to and from the game!

The Orioles play 13 home games in the month of August, giving you many opportunities to plan a great boating day trip.

The Inner Harbor of Patapsco River is a few-minute walk from Camden Yards. You can get transient space at Inner Harbor East Marina; call 410-625-1700 for rates and availability. Baltimore Marine Center of Inner Harbor is another great option for transient boaters. It is a short walk away, as well.  For rates and reservations call 410-837-5339.

Be sure to make time to take a tour or Oriole Park — you’ll see the stadium from a whole new perspective.  The tour gives you access to the press level, the dugout, and the scoreboard. After your tour, be sure to check out the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame.

If the game is a brisk one, you’ll have time to head over to The Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum and the Sports Legend Museum, both of which are minutes away from Camden Yards.  Each museum is filled with history and interactive exhibits that will please both sports fans and non-sports fans alike.

Once you have gotten your history in, root for the home team, buy a souvenir, and enjoy the boat rides.  It really is a perfect summer day!
