Nassau Point

nassau point chart (1)When you simply want to drop anchor and hang out on the boat, Nassau Point is a great lazy day spot. Just south of Cutchogue, this area is generally calm; enter this anchorage from Little Peconic Bay.

The area has been settled since the mid-1600s, and Nassau Point today is home to both year-round and summer residents who enjoy its private beach.  Visiting boaters should watch out for swimmers in the area.

While there are no facilities at the beach for non-resident boaters, there are places close by to pick up food and fuel.
