There are incandescent songs such as You Light Up My Life sung by Debby Boone, Spotlight by Jennifer Hudson, Ray Of Light by Madonna, and Heartlight by Neil Diamond. Then there’s the Huntington Harbor Parade of Lights, glowingly sung by participating boaters who want to keep the Huntington Lighthouse burning brightly.

This fun and fundraising parade will attract throngs of viewers and a boatload of bedecked and brilliant vessels on Friday, November 27; the glittering cruise begins around Huntington Harbor at 6:00 pm.

Participating boaters compete for prizes awarded to the top 10 participants, but most importantly, support the Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society, which works to maintain and preserve the Huntington Lighthouse. The cost for sail, power, commercial, recreational, individuals, groups, and clubs is a donation of $50.00 per boat. Homes along the shore are invited to sign up and light up as well.

Non-nautical glitterati will gather along the shore. Viewing locations include the parking lot behind the Halesite Fire Department and Gold Star Battalion Beach. Local restaurants, businesses, and residents may also host fundraising-viewing parties, so get to the shore early and alight on a great spot!
