Harbor History Museum is located at 4121 Harborview Drive, which happens to be a short walk from Murphy’s Landing Marina, a perfect place to dock the boat and head to the museum for a fun and exciting way to spend a day. The Harbor History Museum was founded in 1964 as a place for community members to share photographs and memories of Gig Harbor.   It has since evolved into a place that not only serves to preserve, collect and share the history of the Gig Harbor Peninsula but also as a place the community relies on.

The museum’s permanent collection includes artifacts, videos, and interactive exhibits to share the history.  They also have rotating exhibits and art on display. You can easily spend a day and feel like you would want to come back for another day of exploration.

At the time of publishing, the museum is open every Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays).  For more information, please visit http://harborhistorymuseum.org.
