fddegdhjThe backdrop of your view is the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge. Right next to it is a cute Museum for kid’s age six months to eight years. Do your kids get bored while onboard? If so, take them to the museum for a day trip! You can boat right on over to the guest dock (first come-first serve) at Presidio Yacht Club/Travis Marina in Horseshoe Bay—a short walk from the museum.

In the museum there are plenty of exhibits for kids to explore and learn from. Most enjoy the Bay Hall which is a replica of the Ports of San Francisco and Oakland. Take a look at the crabs from Fisherman’s Wharf or lift and lower containers to fill up a ship in the Port of Oakland. There is also an Underwater Tunnel with marine creatures crawling around.

For toddlers, there is the Tot Spot where they can crawl and climb on a baby-sized mountain, dress up in a bumble bee or fish costume. Outside of this exhibit is the Stream where toddlers can splash in or have fun in the grassy area called The Meadow that has a wood rat in a nest of sticks.

Don’t miss out on the imagination playground! There are tons of giant building blocks for kids to play with and interact with others. See what you can imagine and build!

Other exhibits include the Lookout Cove that is 2.5 acres and has a shipwreck, a landslide replica, a under construction Golden Gate Bridge, a sculpture of Peek-a-boo Palace, and much more! Art Studios exhibits allow kids to get messy and learn about painting, creating, and the difference in certain textures of materials.

Hours of Operation are Tuesday to Friday: 9:00am to 4:00 pm and Saturday to Sunday: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Closed Mondays. General Admission is 1-64 years old $13.95, Under 12 months is $12.95 and seniors over 64 is $12.95.
