My wife Ronni and I started boating later than many, as I was 50 when I purchased a used 21′ Cuddy from a fellow teacher. With age comes wisdom, and it did not take us long to realize we needed a safe boating class. Luckily, the United States Power Squadrons® had a 10-week class (within a year of passing the class I was an active member, eventually becoming a District Safety Officer and teaching).
